Leopard encounter with Rhino Watch Safaris

 

 It was 06:00 in the morning when Aaron Koome left Rhino Watch Safari Lodge, heading to the gate of Aberdare National Park. Thje gate is only 20 minutes away from the Lodge and if you want to see cats, you have to leave early. Aaron knows the area very well. He is a specialised safari driverguide and a family member of the Rhino Watch Family. 

With all his experience and eyes of an eagle Aaron spotted for Game in the bushes and forests in Aberdare National Park. Suddenly and unexpected this Leopard came out of the bush, no respect for the Car and just crossing the road in front of aarons car. 

What an experience for the clients in our Landcruiser 4 x4 Safari vehicle. The cat stayed for 15 minutes giving unforgettable moments to Aaron and his guests.

During the last 6 month we have constantly upgraded our facilities. We opened a new restaurant that can easily take 40 passengers. Our old bush restaurant became a cozy bar and the sundowner terasse is finished as well.

This is the new building on the left side. The new entrance is in the middle between the bush bar and the bush restaurant

This is the new bus restaurant at Rhino Watch Safari Lodge. The windows can be closed completely and the room can be converted to a conference center. We provide a beamer and a screen.

This is the view iside the new bush restaurant. Colourfull gardens are everywhere and lots of bid life can be seen already from there while having a meal.









This is the walk way in front of family Chalet Nr 6. The right walk way takes you to the sunset bar.

The sunset bar has comfortable seats, a DSTV Cable TV, Stereo and a nice assortment of wine and spirit. The right place to chill out after an exciting day with game drives and animal encounters.

The Veranda of our Sunset bar is located beside a pond where weaver birds nest. After a rain shower you might listen to a concert of thousand frogs, celebrating the rainy day and taking a chance to look for a wedding partner.

 This is Family Chalet Nr. 7 at night. This is the place where you want to be, see the milk street over Kenya and the moon rising behind Mt. Kenya.

Stella is one of the stewards, always stand bye to serve our guests a cold beer, a sundowner or a nice bottle of our wine selection.

The old bush restaurant is converted into a cozy bar with nice and comfortable seats. Hand out at the fire place and listen to the stories of the day.

Chamäleon zu Besuch auf der Rhino Watch Safari Lodge

Ab und zu haben wir auf Rhino Watch das Vergnügen den gut getarnten Lebewesen zu begegnen. Das Dreihornchamäleon (chamaeleo jacksonii ) gehört dazu.
